Our new custom upholstered bed

On Thursday, the custom upholstered bed I had made for the master bedroom is supposed to be delivered.  The upholsterer sent me a couple of photos so I wouldn't have to wait 'til then to see how it turned out:

It's going to be beyond fabulous to be able to sit up and read in bed without leaning against the curtains and falling back into the window well at the head.  I hope its proportions look good beside our other bedroom furniture once the mattress goes on.  If you remember, I tried a similar bed from Restoration Hardware but its tall headboard blocked way too much of the window.  I think this one blocks something like the lowest foot of the glass.  Fingers crossed it looks good in person!
